Skiergometer training improves performance during prolonged double poling

(Skiergometertraining verbessert die Leistung bei längerem Doppelstockschub)

In the latter years double polling ergometers have become much more accessible for cross country ski training. However, the effect of training using the double pooling ergometers in combination with other types of training is not clear. In the present study we evaluated the effect of a training program preparing for the WASA race with (Ergo +, n=12) or without (Ergo -, n=7) part of the training performed in a double pooling ergometer (DPE).
