Aktuelle Befunde zur Wirksamkeit des bundesdeutschen Fördersystems werfen die Frage nach dem Zielhorizont leistungssportlicher Organisationsstrukturen auf. Der Beitrag diskutiert insbesondere aus organisationssoziologischer und sportpädagogischer Perspektive die Frage nach einem geeigneten Qualitätsverständnis im Hinblick auf seine Anwendbarkeit im Nachwuchsleistungssportsystem. In Ergänzung zu einer dienstleistungstheoretischen Auffassung findet hier ein pädagogischer Qualitätsbegriff Verwendung, welcher zum einen die "Verbesserung" der Athleten und zum anderen deren "Ermächtigung" umfasst. Mit Verweis auf empirische Explikationen werden einerseits kompetente Mitbestimmung bei der Entwicklung sportlicher Ziele sowie der Trainingsgestaltung und andererseits eine Sensibilität für die Ästhetik des individuellen sportlichen Tuns als Zielhorizont leistungssportlicher Förderung ins Zentrum gerückt, durch welche sich Athleten - sportlich wie auch persönlich - weiterentwickeln (können). In this article, the problem of a suitable concept of quality in terms of its applicability to the system of youth competitive sport is discussed especially from the point of view of organisational sociology and sports pedagogy. As a supplement to a service-theoretical point of view, a pedagogical concept of quality is used here which includes not only the "improvement" but also the "empowerment" of athletes. With reference to empirical explications, the focus is on the one hand on the competent participation in the development of sports goals and the organisation of training and on the other hand on a sensitivity for the aesthetics of individual sports activity as the target horizon of the competitive-sports promotion through which the athletes (can) develop further both athletically and personally.
